Established in 1928, Adelstein’s Pharmacy was the center for medical services in the Central Neighborhood of Cleveland. This building had doctors, dentists, and others working upstairs in this old brick building. Before the building was demolished in 2007, APOC was invited to rescue any reusable building materials. The materials carefully removed from the building included marble sheets, floor boards of oak, base boards of poplar, and many solid wood doors. Our first creation in the Adelstein’s line of furnishings is made of materials recovered from this neighborhood landmark.
