St. Josaphat, a Roman Catholic Church on E.33rd Street was built in 1915. In the late 1980’s, the diocese decided to shut the doors and look for a responsible buyer of the property. The church was eventually sold to Elenka Banko who, over the last several years, has trasformed the space into St. Josaphat Arts Hall. During the renovation of the church several floorboards were removed. Made of maple, these floorboards are the source for the products you see below.
